Surah Saba, is the thirty-fourth surah within the twenty-second part of the Holy Qur’an, and it is one of the Meccan suras, and its name is taken from the fifteenth verse, and
it talks about monotheism and some of God’s attributes, and the issue of the resurrection, and the prophecy of the previous prophets, peace be upon them, and the Messenger of
Islam, may God bless him and his family. Peace be upon him in particular, and reviews an aspect of the life of the Prophet Solomon, peace be upon him, and the life of the
people of Sheba, as it mentions some divine blessings, and calls for reflection, contemplation, faith, and good deeds.
Among its well-known verses is the Almighty’s saying in verse (23): “And no intercession works with Him except for him whom He permits.” And He, the Almighty, says in verse
(28): “We have not sent you except to all mankind as a bearer of good tidings and a warner.”
There are many narrations about the virtue of reading it, including what was narrated on the authority of the Prophet (PBUH): Whoever recites Surah Saba, there is no messenger
or prophet left except that on the Day of Resurrection he will have a companion and shake hands.
